Kanye West Gets Shutdown By Clubhouse For Antisemitic Remarks

Kanye “Ye” West made more antisemitic remarks during a live Q&A on Clubhouse, resulting in the social media app shutting down the live.

TheWrap confirmed that the event was hosted by Ye and Wack100, which charged viewers $20 to join the live session. The session lasted a little over 50 minutes before the platform abruptly suspended the rapper for his comments.

“We took action to shut down a conversation yesterday because it violated our policies,” Clubhouse said in a statement to the outlet. “We also suspended those who violated the policies. There’s absolutely no place for bullying, hate speech or abuse on our platform as explicitly stated in our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.”

The platform suspended Ye but not Wack100. Wack100 decided to continue the interview over a recorded phone conversation and then played the interview live on Clubhouse.

During the live, Ye was shooting out a ton of alarmingly antisemitic remarks.

“Right now America is the most influential nation,” he began. “But you have companies like Comcast that run everything, and they use the Jews, they use celebrities, they sue Disney, Hulu, they use magazines, they use all of that to control…a lot of the messaging to push us, to excite us…”

“I can’t help but love,” he said. “I don’t have nothing but love so then I said I love Hitler meaning I love everyone. It’s for God to judge. It’s for us to love and that’s to be Christ-like.”

Another made

an antisemitic comment right before the shutdown.

“…the Armenians worked in the meatpacking district, and the Jews work in the n***a packing District,” Ye said. “The Jews…spotted Chinese to control the Blacks. They’re just middlemen. They’ll sell anything.”

After moments of silence, someone is heard saying, “I think the room closed.”

The interview above captured the moment when the live shut down, along with the reactions. The full interview can be accessed below.
