K. Michelle Grieves The Loss of Her Granddad Theodore Jamison

Former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star K. Michelle is still trying to pull it together since her beloved grandfather died on December 16.

In a series of tweets, K. posted about the despair and heartbreak she felt losing her granddad, Theodore Jamison, on December 28.

Please bring my grandpa back. God, don’t do us like this. I beg. I’ll do anything,” she wrote.

She followed up that tweet with two more excruciatingly sad tweets about burying the deceased patriarch and pleading with God to bring him back for her mother.

Born Kimberly Michelle Pate, the 39-year-old Memphis native, wrote a poignant tribute to Jamison on Instagram.

“Oh, what a bond to break. My main man. Yesterday, I lost my grandfather. I lost my heart and probably the last little bit of chill I have left. I don’t know how I will ever forgive you, God, for this. We need him. We just celebrated your 92 bday grandpaw and you were so happy,” she wrote. “We spoke about you seeing my movie premiere with me and my country album, and you were so excited. How dare God take that away from us. I was not ready for this… I am hurt. I am destroyed. I need you here. You are a Superhero, Theodore Jamison.”

K. also praised her grandfather for raising eight children and being a staple in the community throughout South Memphis.

“You raised eight kids by Yourself! You raised your grandkids. You raised A WHOLE COMMUNITY. Everybody in South Memphis know and love Mr. J. You are legendary. Your knowledge alone was enough to change a person’s whole mindset. I would sit and just listen to the many lessons you would teach. Never once have I ever seen you angry or raise your voice—the sweetest, most humble man. When you walked in the room, people knew you were a man of great substance, a POWERFUL man. Never once did you judge me even through all my wrongs.”

She pondered how life could continue without him, and K. promised to keep Jamison’s memory alive.

“How we supposed to have our traditional Christmas Breakfast without my main man? And I know they say don’t question God, but really why? Why now? My mother’s Bday is on Christmas. Why take him from her like that? I guess I’m not supposed to say it, but this fucked up. You have my word Granddad that I got her. I’ll forever and ever and ever be speaking of your greatness and shouting out your praises. Cause It ain’t NO Grand Daddy like mine. My HERO,” K. concluded.

The “Can’t Raise A Man” singer also posted a touching video of her hitting her beloved granddad off with some major cash to buy himself a truck. The 92-year-old patriarch liked going to the casino.

Jamison was all smiles as he counted the wad of cash. K. also divulged that she snuck her pawpaw monetary gifts, and he didn’t tell a soul.

“When I sent my main man a bag to buy him a truck, so he could drive to the casino at 90yrs old! 😂! Savage! Never missed a beat! Best money ever spent. So many ungrateful people done used me and then spoke bad on me when I said no. One thing I never went wrong on was sneaking my grandpa money! He never told a soul, and when I did it I felt like I had accomplished something! Most humble person I’ve ever met! Real Facts. I love ya, sir.”

K. ensured that Jamison had a proper send-off. An ornate horse and carriage pulled the 92-year-old man’s casket and led an extensive procession.

Theodore Jamison, Pete, Mr.J whatever they knew and loved you as, they gotta call you “Hero” You rode your through South Memphis like Royalty. The thing that was most important to me was having you go back to your house one last time. The house my Mom grew up in, the house and NEIGHBORHOOD that you so loved and cherished,” she wrote. “I couldn’t take nothing but the funeral though, couldn’t stand see you go. Still waiting to wake up from this nightmare, man. My grandpa was a man of faith. Never missed a Sunday at church. My very first solo EVER, you were there, and every single solo EVER at church, you was right there. They say some things you never get over. You just learn to live with. You were TOUGH, but at the same time, the most gentleman I’ve ever encountered. I’ve talked to you all today, just give me a sign you ok. I love you so much, man. My Main Man! Job Well Done Theodore❤️ 92 years of you is still not enough❤️.”

We are praying for K. and her family!
