The other half of rap duo City Girls, JT, made an appearance two weeks ago on Caresha’s (Yung Miami) talk show Caresha Please, along with Saucy Santana. Towards the end of the conversation, JT revealed that Trick Daddy told her fans favored Caresha more than her.
“Trick [Daddy] made a comment like more so of like, nobody checking for me,” JT claimed. “They more into you like, ‘Blah blah blah. We know it’s not true—we both equally loved. But he said that from his [standpoint] because….he don’t be around as much…he was born way back in the day. So, he wouldn’t really know what’s going on right now. He’s only going to see what’s viral on the internet, so from his standpoint, he felt that way. He felt like, ‘Oh my God, Caresha like really made it’ because he, of course, he’s a fan of Diddy, he’s older. He’ll see the podcast and be like, ‘Oh, she must have got something between her legs…And JT, nobody’s checking for her.’ How do y’all feel about it?”
In the middle of Caresha’s response, JT started to get emotional.
“I don’t never think like I want to go solo,” Caresha said. “I’ma bring the freak side out, you gon’ bring out the ‘pop yo s**t.'”
“Street b***hes,” JT interjected.
“Right, so I feel like people love us for why they love us,” Caresha said to JT and Santana, which was when JT started to tear up. “Me personally, I feel like we started together. We grew up together. I’m not thinking, ‘Oh, I’m gonna do this shit without JT.’ That’s not my intention. That’s not what I’m on. I feel like people love us as a group, and we stronger as a group. We stronger together.”
Santana responded with encouraging words telling JT she’s one of the most talented people he knows. He added that while many people view her as the more “serious” type of person, they don’t know the real JT because they aren’t close with her.
“JT is one of my friends that’s so f**king encouraging and positive,” Santa said. “Y’all would never see that.”
JT later revealed she was hurt after finding out Caresha did a solo project with 21 Savage while in jail, despite them swearing up and down to never go solo.
“I remember the first time,” she began. “Caresha said she told me. I think she was scared to tell me. She did her first song by herself when I was in jail with 21 Savage. And I had like found out through…I forgot how I found out. I cried on The Yard…for hours. I said, ‘Caresha trying to snipe me. She didn’t even tell me she was making a song with 21 Savage.'”
JT’s disappointment went away when she discovered the City Girls’ group name was on it after getting released from jail.
JT’s first solo came in October 2021 when she was featured on “Ex for a Reason” with Summer Walker. She had it to where it said featuring JT and City Girls.
Bye, Trick Daddy!
