Peele is known for his ominous ways, and his latest post was a testament to that as he captioned the photo for the announcement with a simple cloud emoji.
According to Variety, there is little to pretty much no information about the movie made public yet other than the poster’s tagline, which labeled Nope as “a new terror from the mind of Academy Award winner Jordan Peele.”

However, the actors who will be featured in the film have been announced.
The actors whose names are on the announcement poster are Daniel Kaluuya, who won an Oscar nomination for Peele’s directorial debut of Get Out, as well as Keke Palmer, who will be acting in her first Peele production, and South Korean actor Steven Yeun who is a veteran to the horror genre after appearing in The Walking Dead.
Some newly announced cast members include Euphoria actress Barbie Ferreira, The OA star Brandon Perea and Michael Wincott of The Crow, and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
Peele will be producing the movie in collaboration with Cooper of Monkeypaw Productions.
Universal Pictures is distributing Nope as Peele’s third collaboration with the studio, which goes under his five-year output deal with the company.
The Universal Pictures film is scheduled to debut in theaters on July 22, 2022.
The poster emphasizes that the movie will only be available in theaters, in difference to many of the films that have been released this year that have been streaming on other platforms.
Despite only having two films under his name, Peele’s made quite a reputation for himself.
His 2017 debut Get Out proved to be a huge hit, earning $255 million in global ticket sales and receiving four Oscar nominations, and his second film, 2019’s Us, generated $255 million globally.
