Grammy-award-winning artist and rapper Jay-Z has left his hometown of New York behind and officially become a resident of California.
According to All Hip Hop, the artist said he plans on staying in California, where he lives with his children Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi, as well as his wife, pop singer Beyonce.
“I intend to keep my primary residence in Los Angeles, California, and do not intend to move my primary residence to another state. I pay California state taxes. In light of these facts, I consider myself to be domiciled in Los Angeles, California,” Jay-Z confirmed.
The Brooklyn rapper has won the hearts of the world through this passion and love for his borough. So much so that he even made the song “Empire State of Mind,” which featured singer-songwriter Alicia Keys as a tribute to his city.
