Jason Momoa, Lisa Bonet Are ‘Working On’ Their Marriage, Source Says

Jason Momoa, 42, and Lisa Bonet, 54, have decided to give their marriage a second chance after they addressed the initial breakup on a Jan. 12 Instagram post, saying, “We free each other to be who we are; learning to become.”

Since then, the couple seemingly had a change of heart and deleted the post six weeks later, ready to give their marriage another try.

According to Hollywood Life, a source close to the 42-year-old said he reportedly moved

back into the home he and Bonet shared, and they’re working things out.

“Jason moved back in with Lisa about two weeks ago, and they are very much back together,” the friend told the outlet. “They decided to work on things rather than throw in the towel because they have so much invested in each other.”

The couple’s two teenage children – daughter, Lola, 14, and son, Nakoa-Wolf, 13 – are “obviously thrilled” that their parents have given their marriage another shot,” the source said, adding, “Everyone is really hoping that they can make this work this time around.”

While the couple has been married for four years since their wedding in October 2017, their relationship began more than 16 years ago, in 2005. During a 2017 appearance on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, the Aquaman star said he was in love with the actress long before they became an item. He revealed that he had the biggest crush on her since he was an 8-year-old watching Bonet play the free-spirited Denise Huxtable in the classic NBC sitcom The Cosby Show.

“Lisa is, and always has been, the only woman that Jason has ever loved,” the insider said.

Many have questioned what led the couple to break up for a short time. But, according to the insider, Momoa’s busy schedule caused conflict in their marriage for years.

“Jason has been incredibly busy making films and, because of this, there are periods of time where he must go a week, or more, without seeing his family. During this time, Lisa has to bear the full brunt of parenting, and it just gets hard on her sometimes. They don’t use nannies or help. Luckily, their kids are now 13 and 14 years old, so it is getting easier,” the source said.
