Janet Jackson is not only an icon but now a philanthropist. The superstar plans to auction off 1,000 items in a hybrid charity event, reported Click2Houston.

The auction called “Iconic Treasures from the Legendary Career and Life of Janet Jackson” will take place online and in-person in Beverly Hills, California. It will feature at least 1,000 of the singer’s possessions, including videos, costumes, and other personal effects.

According to People, items from the “Rhythm Nation” video and a tracksuit Jackson owned as a child are some of the things up for bid at the auction. The event will start on May 14 and run for three days ending on May 16– the singer’s 55th birthday. 

A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit advocacy ministry Compassion International, which is a charity that supports children in need worldwide. 

Those whose wallets have the monetary range will also get the opportunity to bid on some of Jackson’s most memorable pieces, like her “1814” cap and outfits she wore at the NAACP Image Awards and Vogue Magazine’s annual Met Gala. 

Perhaps one of the most interesting items on the auction list is her condom machine. Foreplay dice and leather floggers and whips–yes, for that, are also up for sale.

For the rest of us with underweight wallets, two exclusive limited edition box sets are available for sale.

According to Julien’s Auctions, one set is $200 and includes a personal video message from the singer and three casebound auction catalogs. The other is $800 and includes the same items as the $200 set plus a certificate signed by Jackson herself. 

Janet Jackson has sold 192 million records worldwide and released 27 Billboard Top Ten hits throughout her career. She’s come a long way from just being Michael’s little sister and Penny on Good Times. Ms. Jackson and her legacy are worth every dime that this auction will net.
