Jamie Foxx’s Health Scare: Rep Shuts Down COVID-19 Vaccine Conspiracy Theory

In the world of celebrity health scares, Jamie Foxx has recently found himself at the center of attention.

After being rushed to the hospital in mid-April due to a “medical complication,” speculation and rumors began to circulate, including an unsubstantiated claim that his health issues were caused by the COVID-19 vaccine. However, Foxx’s representative quickly shut down the conspiracy theory, labeling it as “completely inaccurate.”

Gossip columnist A.J. Benza had made the claim during an appearance on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s Ask Dr. Drew podcast, alleging that Foxx had developed a blood clot after receiving the vaccine and subsequently suffered a stroke. The publicist for the Oscar-winning actor refuted these claims and reiterated the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines, as stated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

During his hospitalization, Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, provided limited information, describing her father’s condition as a “medical complication.” She expressed gratitude for the quick action and care he received, assuring fans that he was already on the road to recovery. The family requested privacy during this time, emphasizing how beloved Foxx is and appreciating the support and prayers from fans.

Following his release from the hospital, false reports surfaced, suggesting that the family was preparing for the worst. Corinne promptly took to social media to clarify the situation, stating that her father had been out of the hospital for weeks and was recuperating well. She expressed disappointment in how the media sensationalized the news and confirmed that Foxx had even been playing pickleball recently.

“Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she wrote on her Instagram Story in May.

“My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday,” she added.

TMZ later reported that Foxx had entered a physical rehabilitation center in Chicago, indicating his commitment to recovering fully from his health scare. Throughout this entire ordeal, Foxx has maintained a relatively private stance, with only one social media post expressing appreciation for the love and support he received from his fans.

“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he wrote on Instagram in early May.

He also thanked Nick Cannon, who took over as the host of Foxx’s game show Beat Shazam during his absence, hinting at a return in the near future.

In a recent interview, Cannon spoke highly of Foxx’s professionalism and privacy, praising how he handles both his career and personal matters. Cannon assured fans that Foxx would share more information about his health when he felt ready to do so, emphasizing that the actor’s approach deserves respect and admiration.

“One thing I’ve always respected about how Jamie’s moved throughout his entire career, if you’ve noticed, he’s always been somebody who is extremely professional and extremely private,” Cannon said.

“I mean, you don’t ever really hear anything other than just the great work that he puts forth as a professional, and the fact that, you know, he’s handled this situation with the same manner, you only can respect that.”

As fans eagerly await further updates from Foxx himself, they can rest assured that he is on a recovery journey and surrounded by support.
