Irv Gotti’s Constant Babbling About Ashanti Has Reached A New Low

Irv Gotti’s incessant need to overshare about his fling with Ashanti has managed to hit an all-time low. Once again, social media users clowned the 52-year-old record producer.

In the latest installment of his BET documentary, The Murder Inc. Story, Gotti revealed the moment he started his short-lived relationship with the “Foolish” singer. On August 23, the record exec said, “I’m separated from [my wife] Deb. I’m on my own. And Ashanti’s coming to the studio every day, and our friendship and bond is naturally growing. She used to wear these Juicy sweats, and her ass was looking fat.”

Gotti continued telling the unsolicited story, “Her ass was looking great. So, one day I was like, ‘Yo, I’ll take you home.’ She said, ‘Bet, cool.’ We are walking to her front door of her crib. She turns and says goodbye, and I just kiss her and grab her ass and just mwah. It was like, what took you so long?”

Journalist David Dennis, Jr. was one of the first Twitter users to share his opinion on the story.

“Irv Gotti has a really fascinating career arc and story and had a real chance to redeem the Murder Inc legacy, and he’s choosing to ruin it all by being a dweeb about Ashanti.”

Other folks chimed in on Gotti’s wack behavior as well.

Twitter user Lovely Day touched on the obvious issue– Gotti’s power dynamic being ten years Ashanti’s senior and her boss.

Sis2Sis previously reported that Gotti’s diarrhea of the mouth began on Drink Champs when he revealed that he found out Ashanti was dating Nelly.

“I could get past [Ashanti] wanting to be with Nelly…listen…at the time it happened–any man is hurt. The chick you’re f*****g are in love with is with this n***a. You wanna hear how I found out? It’s on the documentary too. I was at home–listen to this s**t, god wanted me to find out–NBA package, I like watching sports. ‘My god, what’s this commotion going on in the stadium? We just found out what the commotion is: Nelly has just walked in with Ashanti.’”

Rapper Fat Joe was put off by the machismo and pillow talking by Gotti. He defended the “Rain On Me” songstress and lambasted his former homie’s behavior.

“Irv Gotti is a sucker, man. He a sucker.”

“Y’all can @ Irv Gotti, Ja, whatever the f*** you want,” he continued. “Whatever Irv has with Ashanti is 20 years old, right? I know he was making some points that mean a lot to him. But when you keep ranting about somebody 20 years later, it felt like he’s not over the young lady, right?”

“You gotta see your truth in your documentary. But to go to Drink Champs and to keep calling her a b****, keep disrespecting … Um, guys, I’m not gonna be the guy to ‘stand up for Ashanti, the brother that’… Ja Rule was standing right next to him. And so I’m not gonna be that guy. But I’m not telling stories about a girl I was with 20 years ago. In fact, I hope you die. F*** you, b****. Leave me alone, right? So, when you doing this, it looks like you caught up, you ain’t get over [it].”

Gotti, obviously, doesn’t care about running his mouth, and Ashanti has not responded, nor did she participate in the filming of the BET documentary.

She has moved on from the record exec and his flapping gums.
