Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home became the center of police activity on Thursday when an uninvited guest arrived on her doorstep.
The man, who traveled all the way from South Carolina, was looking to propose to the R&B star, but was quickly turned away by her security detail.
According to PageSix, the man claimed he was there to ask for Rihanna’s hand in marriage, but was promptly arrested for trespassing. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the man, who was dressed in a bright red hoodie, was handcuffed and escorted off the property around 12:30 pm. Since he did not make it into the home, and only to the driveway of RiRi’s home, he was not charged with any crimes and was released after questioning.
It’s unknown if Rihanna was home at the time of the disturbance, as her representatives have not yet commented on the incident. The singer is currently pregnant with her second child, and the safety of her family is undoubtedly a top priority.
This is not the first time Rihanna has had issues with unwanted visitors. In 2018, a man was arrested after breaking into her Hollywood Hills home and spending 12 hours inside before being discovered by the singer’s assistant.

The incident is a reminder of the potential dangers that come with being a high-profile celebrity. It’s clear that the dangers of celebrity worship are real and must be taken seriously. While it’s not uncommon for fans to become obsessed with their favorite stars, especially one as iconic as Bad gyal Riri herself, this seemingly innocent behavior can quickly cross an important line and become creepy and dangerous.
Luckily, Rihanna’s security team acted quickly and ensured that the situation was handled safely.
