On May 16, TV One aired the first part of an Uncensored episode, which happened to be the late rapper DMX’s final interview just three weeks before his passing on April 19.
In the interview, DMX recounted details of his troubling past and spoke of how he found support through his faith amid hardship.
The spiritual emcee reflected on an early childhood memory that took place when he was four years old. X claimed to have met an angel after being involved in a car accident.
DMX detailed the encounter.
He explained that he, his mother, and his little sister were visiting a family friend in Yonkers, and while he and his sister were waiting outside, X found a dime on the floor. The then-little boy trekked to the corner store to buy himself a lollipop and a ball. When he crossed the street, X claimed a car hit him.
“As soon as I stepped off the curb coming down from the store, a car hit me, knocked me way over on the other side of the street up under another car,” he recalled.
The artist described feeling confused and dazed, but he said a white woman holding a clipboard told him to lie down until his mother could get to the scene of the accident.

After the paramedics arrived, DMX that the woman vanished.
“You’d think that she would’ve stuck around because she saw the whole thing,” he said. “I don’t know; I felt like it was an angel. She got no business being in the hood with a clipboard,” he added.
This event was just one of the many otherworldly experiences X had during his lifetime.
