Oct. 1 marked Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s sixth anniversary. The Dancing With The Stars champ gifted his wife a 1979 white Corvette and explained in an Instagram post why he chose to a vintage car instead of a brand new one.

“Men love the stories, the headaches and the delicacies you have to put into refurbishing an old school because once it’s done and back on the road, you can truly appreciate the time and the times you have in it,” Shumpert wrote in the post’s caption. “It makes a statement to your inner self that no one could see this but you!”

The former Lakers player continued, “Years ago, I told you I wanted a family, and you gave me that. I bent my knee to you, and you accepted my headache and trauma. You’ve pumped my brakes and fixed me up every time I had bump or bruise.”

“So yes, I could’ve gotten you a brand new car…but this car will symbolize a relationship that’s been thru it all,” The Chi actor stated. “The nostalgia of the corvette you wanted is heard, but I want you to dress this one up little by little like we’ve done in this 6 years and make sure this mu***ka ride forever!”

Shumpert ended the post with, “I love you, Mrs. Shumpert. Year 6.”

Roses were placed inside the car and on the outside.

The Bumble’s Luv 2 See It host commented, “Babeeeeeeeeeeee You know what this means to me. I love you. Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours….happy anniversary, my love 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹.”

The love birds share two beautiful daughters, 2-year-old Rue Rose and 6-year-old Junie.

In addition to the comment, the “Bare Wit Me” singer also dedicated a post to her hubby.
