On Thursday, it was announced that Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue would plead guilty in his PPP loan fraud case, VLADTV reports. And while the R&B singer is looking at jail time for his alleged crimes, he let fans know that he really isn’t too worried about that. 

Joking that he’d be “ripped up like Gucci Mane,” the recently-shot musician claimed he’s happy to be here still and thankful for his supporters.

The original fraud case began last fall, with Baby Blue facing several federal charges.

According to Billboard, the rapper

obtained over $420,000 under the Payment Protection Program (PPP) set in place for businesses seeking COVID-19 relief.

He also allegedly received a separate PPP loan payment of $708,065 using falsified documents. Soon after, the Miami-based musician copped an expensive Ferrari.

According to VLADTV, Baby Blue will attend court on June 9 and is set to plead guilty to “at least one” of the federal charges.

He spoke with Hollywood Unlocked on May 13 to detail his thoughts on the fraud case.

The singer expressed that he “ain’t tripping.”

He stated, “When I get out, Ima be ripped up like Gucci Mane! And I’ma be one of the hottest rappers in the world!”

Taking an opportunity to promote his new music and thank his fans, the Pretty Ricky rapper

added, “My new single, “Up Again” drop Friday! I’m talking bout them f**k n****s who TRIED to rob me but ain’t get S**T! Thankful to be Alive! All glory to God! Love my fans, family and friends for sticking with a n***a through everything! All them prayers definitely saved my life!”

He then got real about what he might miss out on if he does federal prison time, saying, “Only thing Ima really miss is time away from my kids. I just had a baby boy this year, and Ima miss his little giggles for sure!” 

The “On The Hotline” rapper has had quite a difficult year. In addition to his PPP fraud case, Baby Blue was recently shot outside of a Miami bowling alley last month, leaving him in a hospital and breathing via a ventilator.
