Wild N’ Out Hitman Holla and his girlfriend Cinnamon Witherspoon disclosed the events that occurred the night she was shot during a break-in.
In the latest episode of Nick Cannon’s Future Superstars on VH1, Hitman Holla and Cinnamon shared their point of view of what occurred the night of the incident.
“Atlanta not all peaches and cream,” Hitman said in a clip posted by Hollywood Unlocked. “I’ve been on the road…I’m in Kansas City a day before I gotta host somewhere. It’s midnight. I call Cinnamon. We’ve been together since 2016. I don’t play about her. I really love that girl.”
He continued, “[Hitman and Cinnamon] Facetime and I’m like, ‘I was just calling to say I love you, you know.’ And she was like, ‘It’s funny you just called me ’cause my dog barking. He won’t stop.'”
Hitman Holla explained to Cannon, sitting across from him as he spoke, that he checked the cameras to see if anyone or anything was outside their home.
The 35-year-old rapper continued, “By this time, we on the phone for just another couple of minutes. She said, ‘I hear something.’ I’m like, ‘What you mean you hear something?’…all I hear in the background [imitate gun noises].”
“She said, ‘Oh, my God! Somebody’s in here. Somebody’s in here,'” Hitman recalled.
He instructed Cinnamon to grab his gun, and she complied, hiding in the closet.
“I feel like, ‘I’m so helpless. All I can do is walk her through the moment. I’ve never felt like this,” Hitman said, adding that he told her she needed to use the gun to survive.
“BOOM! I heard a kick through the door. She shot,” Hitman continued. “She missed. I heard a shot. They shot back.”
Hitman grew worried when his girlfriend didn’t come to the phone, believing the intruders killed her.
Cinnamon’s testimony arrived, where she claimed she could only see “white” after getting shot and began to get emotional.
“I hear everything,” she said. “I hear Gerald…he said, ‘They just came in, and they just killed my baby. But the whole time, I’m screaming in my mind, ‘Help! Help!'”
Doctors told the couple that the comedian and rapper’s girlfriend survived because the perpetrators shot her up close, and it went in and out, fracturing her neck. She wore a neck brace.
After the October 2021 shooting, Cinnamon took to Instagram to thank everyone for their support.
“Honestly, I really don’t know what to say but to give thanks to the man above! Thank you, Jesus, thank you Jesus!!! He really had his Angels watching over me. [And]I also truly believe Binny Jr is one of God’s angels. Binny saved my life. I really appreciate each and every one of you guys so much.”
