HGTV star Carmeon Hamilton revealed she lost her husband, Mark Hamilton, to a motorcycle accident in a heartbreaking message on her Instagram page.
A black and white photo showing a smiling Mark accompanied Carmeon’s sad announcement.
“It is with deep sorrow and an eternally broken heart that I tell you that the love of my life, Marcus Hamilton, has passed away. I was alerted by MPD late last night that Marcus succumbed to his injuries from a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon,” she wrote on Sunday.
“I’m no stranger to loss, but this loss brings something beyond pain. Something I can’t describe,” Carmeon added. “I’m now missing a major part of myself, and that void seems to grow more and more every second.”

According to Yahoo Entertainment, the couple had been together for 15 years and would have celebrated 10 years of marriage on September 10. The couple has a son, Davin, together. Carmeon won HGTV’s Design Star: Next Gen in March.
“I can’t bring myself to figure out Davin’s and my next step because there shouldn’t be a need for one,” the grieving wife wrote.
The interior designer concluded her message with gratitude towards her supportive loved ones and a request for privacy.
“Thank you all for being one of the best parts of our love story and loudly encouraging us to be the passionately flawed humans we were, living a life well-lived,” she wrote.
Her comment section was filled with love and support from her followers.
“Carmeon, there are no words for what you must be going through,” wrote fellow designer Breegan Jane. “I am incredibly sorry for your loss. While I didn’t know him, it was clear that he was a bright light. I’m sending you so much love. Please know we are all thinking of you.”
“Carmeon, my love goes out to you. May you find pockets of comfort in the middle of this deep pain,” wrote blogger Luvvie Ajayi.
Additional details about Hamilton’s death or funeral arrangements are unknown.
