On Tuesday, October 19, at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards, actress Halle Berry opened up about her love life and sang praises about her boyfriend, Van Hunt.
Berry gave all the tea on her relationship with Hunt at the event and said, “My love, love, love — my sweetheart. I’ve never had a man that has lifted me up and let me be all that I am.”
In an interview with People, Berry said her boyfriend stood beside her while she was on the red carpet before the award show began. At the same time, she assumed her role filming the upcoming movie, Bruised, which has a theme surrounding a retired MMA fighter that’s influenced into a return to the field after her son comes back into her life.

“I had a lot of support … [Hunt] was a big part of that,” Berry told the outlet. “He did some music for the movie. He actually wrote the title song.”
Berry was also interviewed with Extra and was asked if she and her partner were “madly in love,” to which Berry replied, “We are,” before adding, “Sometimes you have to wait for things in life. I waited patiently — well, maybe not patiently, but I waited.”
Berry and Hunt made their relationship public in September 2020 and, at the time, said that they had been dating for “several months” and added that Hunt had met Berry’s two children, Nahla and Maceo.
“Van has met her kids, so it seems pretty serious,” the source said.
Another source told People that Berry and Hunt are the perfect matches because they “respect each other and have a great deal in common.”
“Both are very successful and smart, and they seem to be in a mature relationship,” the source added. “It seems like a really good match.”
Hunt is a professional artist who released his debut album in 2004, won a Grammy Award, and released four other albums.
