Earlier this year, Pace’s 1996 gospel hit “Act Like You Know” trended on TikTok with Black users. In January, the #ActLikeYouKnow challenge revived the 90s worship classic after skits using the song took the internet by storm. Also singing on “Act Like You Know” was Pace’s older sister Duranice, who preceded her in death in January 2021.

Pace was a member of the renowned Anointed Pace Sisters. The Atlanta natives were comprised of nine sisters– Latrice, Tarrian LaShun, Melonda, Duranice, Phyllis, Dejauii, Leslie, Lydia and June. The Church of God In Christ (COGIC) members got their start singing in churches and also ventured out to local talent shows. Because of their outstanding talent, they won Best Gospel Group at COGIC conventions during the 70s. LaShun released her first solo album in 1991.
