Fashion icon and supermodel Naomi Campbell made a stunning appearance at Paris Fashion Week when she walked the runway at the Lanvin show.

Campbell, 51, strutted down the catwalk to expressions of shock and awe on Sunday in a black cloak befitting the queen she is.

This season, Lanvin’s theme was flower-centered, and that theme was enhanced with Campbell’s legendary walk and unmistakable bravado.

 

Campbell’s career has far surpassed many of the supermodels of her time and even those who came after her.

Back in May, she surprised the world by announcing the birth of her daughter on Instagram with a photo of the baby’s feet.

As a testament to her supremacy in the world of modeling, what she displayed on Sunday was not a new mother over 50, but the epitome of everything that made people fall in love with her over four decades ago and shot her to the head of the supermodel class.

Many of the models who began their careers around the time Campbell began hers are rarely heard from anymore while she remains booked for magazine spreads and catwalks across the world. She was even the inspiration for Disney’s Pocohantas.

Her impeccable beauty and commitment to maintaining a consistent health and fitness regimen have helped her secure her position as the top model (sorry, Tyra).

Coupled with her looks, her loud and proud dedication to her people continues to help her bask in the lack of cracking of her Blackness.

In the 1990s, when frail white women on the runway were all the rage, one of Campbell’s colleagues, Linda Evangelista, said

she would not get out of bed for less than $10,000.

But in 2021, Campbell is stunning crowds at Paris Fashion Week, and Evangelista is suing a discount fat removal company for leaving her lumpy after she fell off the fashion radar.
