Gloria Govan’s Fiery Quest for $267k In Child Support

When it comes to celebrity legal battles, few can rival the explosive drama unfolding between reality TV star Gloria Govan and former NBA player Matt Barnes.

Gloria, known for her stint on Basketball Wives, has thrown the courtroom doors wide open, demanding a jaw-dropping $267,000 in back child support from her ex-husband Matt Barnes. The tea has been spilled, and it’s scalding hot!

The saga began in 2013 when Barnes and Govan tied the knot, but their marital bliss was short-lived, and they separated just three years later. Now, years after their divorce, Gloria is determined to get her due. The couple shares one child, a son named Carter Kelly Barnes, and their legal battles have been ongoing ever since their split.

What’s more, Gloria isn’t holding back on revealing her financial situation in her quest for justice. According to reports, Gloria has disclosed that her income primarily stems from her self-employment in a cannabis company named “Rlntss,” where she’s been making a modest $15 per hour since 2021. With an average monthly income of $2,600, it’s clear that Govan is fighting an uphill battle in providing for her child’s needs.

But the plot thickens. Gloria’s financial disclosures have raised eyebrows, including her admission to having only $8,000 in cash, a personal property value deep in the negative, and living under the same roof as her current husband, former Lakers point guard Derek Fisher, and his children, as well as her own twins.

While Fisher takes on the lion’s share of home expenses, Gloria has listed expenses that include $2,500 on groceries, $150 on health care, and a staggering $1,100 on dining out, among a laundry list of other costs.

The burning question remains: Should Matt Barnes simply fork over the $267,000 demanded by Gloria?

Gloria’s decision to pursue her ex-husband for child support stems from her belief that he still enjoys substantial financial success, claiming he earns over $200,000 per month. Barnes, post-NBA career, has found a new path in the broadcasting and podcasting space, solidifying his financial status. As of 2023, his net worth is estimated at around $25 million.

The courtroom showdown between Gloria and Barnes shows no signs of cooling down. As the legal battle rages on, the world eagerly awaits the resolution of this high-stakes financial drama.
