Georgia Tech sophomore Quincy Howard recently won the long-running game show Wheel Of Fortune, leaving with $35,750 and a Mini Cooper.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Quincy won the final round of Wheel Of Fortune‘s ongoing college week series on Nov. 28. He first earned a cash prize of $35,750 before entering the final lap–a bonus round in which he won the puzzle category “People” after guessing the correct answer, “Kids At Play,” within 10 seconds.
The show’s host, Pat Sajak, then opened a card of winnings and asked the teen a question: “Would you like a Mini Cooper?”
Following the question, a shocked Quincy turned around as his mother and father happily approached him with warm embraces. The three rushed towards the red and Black BMW Mini Cooper, which was unveiled in front of them.
By the end of the episode, the Georgia Tech student’s total winnings were a whopping $69,600.
Prior to his college career, Quincy was reportedly an honor graduate at Dublin City Schools school, where he was the Class of 2021’s valedictorian. The Dublin City School System congratulated him with a celebratory post via Facebook, in which they confirmed that the young man is part of its alumni.
“Way to go, Quincy!!! You cleaned up at Wheel of Fortune! You continue to make the Green and Gold beam with Irish Pride! [green clover emoji],” the post read.
The college sophomore is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech. His official Linkedin page has indicated that he plans to become an Operations Research Analyst for a business or corporation.
Similarly, Spelman junior, Miriam Olajide, won $22,000 in cash and prizes on Wheel Of Fortune in June. At the time, Sis2Sis reported that she flexed her puzzle-solving skills during her summertime appearance and won big.
“I began my journey to appear on Wheel of Fortune in my first year of college. I was watching the show and saw an advertisement for the chance to audition virtually from home. Since I had been a longtime fan of the show, I decided to give it a try,” she shared.
