Gangsta Boo Reportedly Died From Accidentally Overdosing On Fentanyl, Cocaine And Alcohol

Gangsta boo’s cause of death has been revealed.

According to Fox 13 Memphis, the southern rap trailblazer died after accidentally overdosing on a concoction of alcohol, fentanyl and cocaine.

Per a Sis2Sis report, Gangsta Boo (real name Lola Mitchell) died at 43 in the afternoon on New Year’s Day.

The night before her death, Gangsta Boo was with her brother, who had to be hospitalized because he overdosed. When authorities found Gangsta Boo, they said drugs were found on her and

suspected that fentanyl-laced drugs contributed to her passing.

Gangsta Boo was known as a prominent member of the Three 6 Mafia group, dropping six albums with them before taking her own path to a solo career.

She thrived on the Billboard charts after releasing her debut solo album, “Enquiring Minds.” Her first album instantly became one of the top 20 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Her second album, “Both Worlds *69,” took her to the top 10.

It’s unfortunate that Gangsta Boo’s life was cut short due to drugs, but drug and alcohol addiction thrives in the Hollywood setting.

According to the Scottsdale Recovery Center’s website, celebrities suffer from addiction for several reasons. One of them is the easy access they have to substances. SRC reported that it’s easier to acquire drugs when a part of the Hollywood scene than those outside.

Furthermore, peer influence or other celebrities partaking in drugs is enough to convince other stars to get caught up in them.

Lastly, and the most obvious one, is the public eye. Fans and the media are constantly watching celebrities. One wrong move, and they’re dealing with cancel culture. Additionally, beauty standards are perpetually changing and getting harder to meet.

Drugs and alcohol, for many celebrities, are a coping mechanism.

This isn’t to assume that Gangsta Boo was dealing with anything, but fame comes with baggage.

R.I.P, Gangsta Boo. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
