Rapper Future’s ex Brittni Mealy succeeded in her court battle with the rapper over monthly child support payments. 

It’s unclear when the battle was settled, but Radar Online reported that the court ruled in Mealy’s favor and ordered the “Mask Off” rapper to increase his monthly child support payments from $3,000 to $5,000 per month for their 10-year-old son, Prince.

Mealy initially filed the child support lawsuit in 2014 but returned with the support increase request in 2021 since Future’s income and their son’s needs increased. 

In the lawsuit, Mealy accused Future of failing in his court-ordered fatherly duties, like attending to his scheduled parenting times and not maintaining Prince’s dental insurance.

With the “Low Life” rapper reportedly not tending to parent duties or picking his son up during his scheduled times, Mealy stated her expenses went toward daycare costs.

Mealy argued that Future should endure “the burden of additional expenses” for Prince. She requested the court hold her baby daddy in contempt and impose penalties. 

The judge ruled in Mealy’s favor, noting that the rapper’s income and financial status increased,” which made the increase in child support necessary.

Future previously tried to argue that the $3,000 he was spending on Prince was enough (who the f**k thinks a limited amount of money is enough for their child’s needs?). As for him not spending time with his son when he’s scheduled, as he is court-ordered to do, he claimed his job as an entertainer prevented him from doing so.

“[Future] is currently employed in the entertainment industry, and same employ requires that he engage in substantial travel and his hours of employ vary based upon his employment requirements,” his argument read. 

As for the dental insurance, he said he was handling it.

Mealy and Future have had a messy dynamic and have been feuding for a while. As SisSis reported, Mealy leaked messages that showed Future called her a h*e in a message to his son. 

She then leaked audio of Future claiming he was never in love with the mother of one of his children.
