Joe Budden called Michael B. Jordan “corny” on his podcast for how he treated his former classmate and radio show host Lore’l during his interview with her on the red-carpeted premiere of his new film, Creed III.
Budden addressed the moment on the Joe Budden Podcast and expressed that he disagreed with Jordan’s behavior.
“I wish I was doing that interview,” Budden said. “I wish it was me. She was kind; she was nice about it. She was hospitable…I wish it had been me so he can say, ‘Didn’t you call me…” Didn’t? Call? No, n***a. You are corny, still! You’re a corny a** n***a.”
Budden then asked why people found offense to the word “corny.” He also insinuated that Jordan’s success didn’t make him any less corny.
The podcast’s co-hosts argued, with Budden defending Lore’l and the rest defending Jordan, saying “corny” had a negative connotation to which Budden disagreed. To Budden, how treated the radio host was corny.
“Dawg, you doing that to a girl is some corny-nigga shit,” Budden stated. “You being Michael B. Jordan, today, allegedly [the] sexiest man alive, all of these blockbuster movies, during your highlight week. You’ve probably never been more visible than you are right this second. And that’s what you do to her? And if I bring back those White girl rumors, then it’s gon’ sound even crazier. Why you talking to our sisters like that on the red carpet when you don’t talk to White b***hes like that?”
As Sis2Sis reported, Lore’l interviewed Jordan at the premiere of Creed III. Lore’l mentioned that the two went way back when they were high school students in Newark, NJ. Jordan responded that he heard her call him “corny” on The Undressing Room Podcast.
Lore’l said it wasn’t her, but Jordan wasn’t buying it. It turns out Lore’l was telling the truth. It was her co-host, Dominique Da Diva.
Either way, Lore’l handled it like a champ.
