Former Miami Dolphin player Channing Crowder caught heat on social media after opining that singer Ciara was only with star quarterback Russell Wilson for his money.

The 38-year-old washed-up athlete spewed his trash views on his podcast The Pivot on March 27. Crowder even had the audacity to call Wilson a “square” and a “goofball.”

Crowder posted the video on his Instagram page with the caption, “Sorry to Russell 🤣 y’all get that Ciara prayer off, though! Talking current events with the fellas on this @thepivot special drop! Subscribe to our YouTube Clips channel for some extra heat and exclusives!”

“If Russell didn’t have that bread, Ciara wouldn’t be with him. Ciara, she has a good situation,” he said. “You don’t leave Future and get with Russell Wilson. It’s a type. Everybody has a type … and I love him on the field, but he’s fu**ing square.”

Crowder’s bogus theory on The Pivot also suggested that Ciara wouldn’t willingly dump rapping babymaker Future for Wilson- unless she had an ulterior motive. 

Co-hosts Fred Taylor and Ryan Clark called a flag on the play on Crowder’s not-so-hot take.

“Women love peace.”

Black Twitter had all the smoke for Crowder’s wack commentary.

Southern rapper Plies asked about Wilson’s constant hate for being a good dude.

Crowder obviously didn’t get Wilson’s memo on how he bagged the “Level Up” singer. Over Super Bowl weekend, the newly-traded Denver Bronco reportedly shared the story with comedian Kevin Hart on his Sirius XM channel. 

“What the hell is that?” Wilson recounted Ciara asking, referencing his tore up wallet. “You’re losing with that.”

“I put my finger up and said, ‘First of all, with me, you’re never losing. Second of all, with that wallet, that means consistency. That’s what you’re going to get from me. You’re going to get someone who’s consistent every day,’” he said.

The 33-year-old football star told his future wife that the exterior didn’t count- but “inside the wallet” – talking about his very extensive bag.

Wilson and Ciara started dating in 2015 and wed in a storybook ceremony in July 2016. 

The singer had been previously engaged to serial baby daddy and rapper Future after a 13-month relationship. The two split amid Future’s cheating in August 2014. 

Crowder played in the NFL for six seasons before being cut by the Dolphins and is worth an estimated $5 million. 

On the other hand, Wilson is worth a reported $135 million and is still in the prime of his decade-long career. 

It looks like the NFL quarterback and Ciara are winning all the way around.
