Former Grey’s Anatomy Star Jesse Williams’ Child Support Payment To Ex Aryn Drake-Lee Gets Permanently Reduced

Former Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams’ child support payment to his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, has been permanently reduced.

According to Radar Online, court documents have indicated that a judge in the case decided to lower Jesse’s child support payments to $6,146 per month when he’s exercising his custody rights in town. However, he’s been ordered to pay $7,953 to Aryn when working out of town.

Since April, the actor reportedly paid his ex $6,143 per month in temporary support.

In 2021, Jesse asked the court to lower the $40,000 a month he was paying in child support for their two kids, Sadie, 8, and Maceo, 6. He explained via court documents that the original amount was based on his 2019 income, as he raked in $6.2 million while starring in Grey’s Anatomy at the time. He added that he also earned $183,000 in residual income.

“My current income is far from sufficient to maintain a $40,000 per month child support number, especially since I still pay one-half of the children’s private school tuition, the children’s extracurricular activities, medical care, and all of their expenses when they are with me including child-care and my own expenses,” the documents said.

Jesse continued, expressing that he struggled to find gigs that paid as well as the hit ABC series and that he was only making $1,600 per week from the Broadway Show he recently starred in–Take Me Out. He additionally mentioned Aryn’s finances, telling the court she was an Ivy League graduate who previously made six figures as a real estate broker in New York and California. The 41-year-old claimed she “spent thousands of dollars on failed or failing businesses while failing to seek gainful employment despite having an Ivy League degree, speaking three languages, and having a wealth of competitive real estate experience.”

Jesse and Aryn separated in 2020 after three years of marriage, as they tied the knot in 2017.
