In a bizarre celebrity couple mashup, former Death Row music producer Kurt Kobane claimed that Halle Berry and Suge Knight used to have a thing back in the day. In an interview with The Art of Dialogue, he went into detail about their relationship, saying that Berry often sent love letters to Knight, the co-founder and CEO of Death Row Records.
Kobane was initially asked about what celebrities were Knight “messing around with” during his prominence as a high-profile music executive.
After mentioning Berry’s name and being asked to spill more, he said, “First of all you gotta understand who Suge Knight was at this time. He was a young dude, millionaire…so he had access to all the Hollywood women.”
Discussing his relationship with Berry, Kobane continued, “There was love letters that we found after Suge went to jail…There was love letters from Halle Berry that I seen,” adding, “Real love letters. Like, she was interested in him at the time.” He also mentioned that he often noticed her at the Can-Am studio, but “just never knew who the hell she was there for.”

Known for working with artists Snoop Dogg and 2Pac throughout the 1990s, Kobane also detailed a few other unlikely encounters he’s witnessed in the music industry, mentioning how Knight and other celebrity men fawned over actress Salli Richardson of 1994’s A Low Down Dirty Shame.
The seasoned producer also stated in the interview that Monica often called the Can-Am studio when she was an underaged teen, hoping to speak to 2Pac. Kobane claims the “Brenda’s Got A Baby” rapper ignored her calls due to her young age.
