Fat Joe Says He’s Fine With PnB Rock Robbery, Disagrees With Murder

Veteran Bronx rapper Fat Joe recently said he’s fine with slain Philly rapper PnB Rock’s robbery but claimed to disagree with murder.

According to Yahoo News, Joe shared his perspective on the tragic incident via the latest episode of Hell of a Week With Charlamagne Tha God on Sept. 15. During the interview, he claimed that while he didn’t see an issue with the beloved musician being robbed, he shouldn’t have been killed.

“The young brother was supporting Black-owned businesses going to Roscoe’s Chicken with his wife and his kid,” he told host, Charlamagne Tha God, about PnB’s murder. “And so we get all these deflections of, ‘Oh, but his wife posted the chicken.’ ‘Oh, he’s not supposed to wear jewelry.’ How ’bout we not supposed to kill each other.”

He drove his point home about PnB’s murder by noting that back in the day, he was a “stick-up kid” himself.

“I used to stick people up. I used to rob people. I’m being honest. I’m not trying to front for y’all. I’m not against them robbing him. Caught ’em, rob ’em. Why you gotta kill him? And that’s what bothers me,” Joe said about once partaking in an armed robbery.

He also highlighted that those who were present at Roscoe’s House of Chicken’ N Waffles when the musician was killed were likely traumatized by it.

“What about the other families that are sitting in Roscoe’s, and they see somebody get their brains blown out in front of them?” he asked about the robbery. “You destroyed a whole village with one shot.”

Earlier in September, it was announced

that PnB was fatally shot at the popular Los Angeles soul food restaurant in broad daylight. The LA Times reported that the rapper, whose real name was Rakim Hasheem Allen, died at the hospital after being attacked by armed robbers for his jewelry. Days after his passing, PnB’s brother, PnB Meen, addressed issues the family had been facing with the medical examiner.

“We been having trouble getting my brother back to Philadelphia,” he wrote in a now-deleted post, Complex reported. “The state of Los Angeles claiming they have some type of law, going against our as Muslims. Now I have no clue when his Janazah. It’s not right, yo. It’s goin ‘on a week. Prayers up. I got you bro an’ ya daughters.”

Janazah is reportedly a Muslim funeral ritual in which the deceased must be buried within 24 hours of their death.

Thankfully, things worked out, and the rapper was finally laid to rest during a service at Khadijah Alderman Funeral Home on 1924 W. Hunting Park Avenue in Philadelphia. Late Florida rapper XXXTENTACION’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, reportedly attended the funeral.
