Tyler Perry took to social media and revealed his payroll amount, prompting fans to ask how they could land a job working for the Atlanta-based screenwriter. 

The 52-year-old took to Instagram Sunday night and posted a video of R&B singer Usher singing his 2004 hit single “Confessions” to a packed crowd of employees during a Juneteenth party held by Perry. 

The Madea star praised his employees for their hard work at Tyler Perry Studios while stating that his payroll was $154 million. 

“On this Juneteenth, I threw a party for all the incredible people that work at Tyler Perry Studios. I wanted to celebrate the accomplishment that these amazing people have all achieved. My payroll alone was 154 million dollars, and that money went to all the people in this crowd,” he captioned the video. 

The post garnered more than 616,031 views and 4,689 comments, with fans asking if he was looking to hire more employees.

“How can I get on the payroll?”

“That is awesome! I’m trying to get on your payroll next!”

“Are you hiring tho???”

“Graceful. how can I get on the payroll?”

“This is so awesome!! Any openings?.”

Other commenters are speaking it into existence, claiming they will be part of the TPS family.

Another user said, “Amazing. I’ll be there one day. Speaking into existence.”

“That is awesome! I’m trying to get on your payroll next! ❤️” a third user said. 

In addition to being one of the best bosses in Hollywood, Perry also showed appreciation for law enforcement by holding a luncheon at his studio on Monday.

According to WSB-TV, the mayor, interim police chief, and other local figures attended the event.

“We need you. The city needs you,” Tyler Perry said.

“I’m glad Tyler Perry did it this year,” Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said. “Coming out of the pandemic, these guys have gone through a hard time over the last two years, and so to tell them that we appreciate them and that they’re well trained and well prepared to go out here and deal with all types of dangers but also to deal with all types of care.”

Interim police chief Darin Schierbaum said the department’s focus to serve and protect the community.

“We care about all 242 of our neighborhoods,” he said. “We are an effective police department when we are effectively communicating with our community.”
