En Vogue member Cindy Herron has filed for divorce from her husband, former professional baseball player, Glenn Braggs. The couple had been married for 29 years.
The singer, listed as Cindy Herron-Braggs, filed for a dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles County Courts, according to legal documents obtained from The Blast. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
Herron and Braggs have four children together — two sons, Donavan and Solomon, and two daughters, Jordan and Natalia. Three of the four children are adults.
Herron, alongside groupmates Dawn Robinson, Terry Ellis, and Maxine Jones, formed the legendary R&B group in the early ’90s. They earned seven Grammy awards for their hits “My Loving (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel,” and “Don’t Let Go (Love).” In addition, the 60-year-old sang co-lead on hit singles like “Lies,” “Hold On,” “Free Your Mind,” and “Love Don’t Love You.”
Today, Herron is still performing with En Vogue and Ellis, and Rhona Bennett after Robinson and Jones reportedly left the group. In 2018, Herron told People Magazine how fortunate they have been after being in the business for more than 27 years.
“I can’t believe how fast the time has flown. If you would have told me, ‘In 27 years, you’re still going to be performing with En Vogue,’ I would have been like, ‘Shut up, no.’,” she told the outlet of the band’s longevity. “Nobody lasts long.”
She continued, “I’m the mom of the group. And Terry’s in bed by 8,” she told the outlet. “It can be a short-lived business, but we’re very fortunate. And fortunate to have shared so much life together. We’re having a great time.”
En Vogue is currently on New Kids on the Block’s The Mixtape Tour 2022, which lasts through July 23. The group will be stopping in cities including Boston, Buffalo, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Orlando.
Braggs was in the major leagues from 1986 to 1992 and played outfield for the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds. He made history during his professional career after breaking his bat in the 1990 World Series when the Reds played against the Oakland Athletics.
Braggs currently works in real estate in Los Angeles.
