Another said, “Drake is the only Nigerian/African artist to have won: 5 Grammy Awards 6 American Music Awards 34 Billboard Music Awards 2 Brit Awards 3 Juno Awards. He paved the way for the international success of Afrobeats. King of Afrobeats.”
Others have less positive things to say about Drake’s announcement.
One fan wrote, “Drake finding out he’s 25% Nigerian might be one of the worse things to happen on the internet.”

Some fans are joking around about Drake’s “appropriation” of cultures and how we should be expecting an Afrobeats project soon.
A fan said, “Drake’s afrobeats album incoming.”
