Dr. Heavenly Kimes was roasted on social media for suggesting that folks work for free to prove their worth to prospective employers. Per The Shade Room, the Married To Medicine star gave employment advice on Twitter and said that people should consider working for free or for less money to secure employment.
The Married To Medicine star, a dentist in Atlanta, said that she shouldn’t be expected to pay anyone who is not experienced and that a great way to learn is to work for lesser or no pay. Kimes posted a video on Twitter that said, “Work for FREE. To get where you want to Be!”
Kimes graduated at the top of her class at Meharry Medical College with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. She is also the founder of Heavenly Dental Associates, Inc. and the author of “Dr. Heavenly’s Business Prescriptions,” a book on achieving success and achieving wealth. The Bravo star is also an inspirational speaker and holds a real estate license.
Most Twitter users were not here for her advice, and they let the good doctor know it. Dr. Heavenly’s idea was called wack, stupid, exploitation, and bulls*t.

Dr. Heavenly, I love you. But this is stupid. You would never work for “free” if there wasn’t a tax write off. And it’s SUPER WACK to invite non established people to accept no pay for hard work. If you had to do it, that sucks. But you shouldn’t perpetuate a shitty system

Wow!? Dr! If your viewers follow your instructions verbatim they might end up in a lot of trouble with the state #unemployment because the expectation is to be available & looking for work. if they’re already working…Then there are those workplace liabilities 🤦🏻♀️😳

Heavenly out here promoting slavery in 2021. You out here giving your best for free. Spending money you don’t have to get to a job that doesn’t pay. Why would they ever hire you? https://t.co/hycmTX4GO6

After one Twitter user replied that the good doctor was promoting slavery, she clapped back that they were probably unemployed.
“Nope I’m trying to help you get a job!! Chances are your not doing anything anyway .. probably collecting unemployment… Why not prove yourself for the job you want! THINK. !!! However closed minded people will never get ahead #.”

I love you Dr Heavenly , but i disagree. Employers take advantage of people who are good workers and accept lesser pay. They Try to make them do EVERYTHING, but won’t give them more money…which is why some people quit their job . They not getting what they deserve.

Some Twitter users agreed with Dr. Heavenly about working for free to learn a job.
It’s about the learning! I’m with you Heavenly. Don’t hold yourself back from getting experience, even if it is unpaid for a short while.

I love that advice and it’s crazy how some people are so infatuated with money when the experience with volunteering, education courses, and then also internships (most important) can get you the most money. You can’t be balling if you ain’t willing to learn!!
