Props to Doja Cat for keeping her white fans in check on the Nebraska leg of the Scarlet Tour on Dec. 8.
A concertgoer posted a clip of Doja Cat performing “Ain’t S**t” on the CHI Health Center Stage in Omaha, NE, to TikTok on Dec. 9.
The viral clip started at the beginning, where Doja sang, “This happened one, two, three times too much.”
Before hitting the hook, Doja warned her white fans, who possibly had a fleeting thought about singing the N-word.
“Watch your mouth if you’re white,” the 28-year-old warned before proceeding with the song.
Social media had much to say about the matter, especially after OnSite posted the clip.
“Yall mad when she defend yall, yall mad when she don’t defend y’all.. What makes y’all happy?”
“Her mama white and she never met her father…hell she shouldn’t say it either.”
“Don’t make lyrics like that when ya fans are all (white).”
“She knew that comment was gone make y’all madder than the napkins.”
“Don’t she identify more with her yt side anyway?”
“Period!! ‘Cause [I] was there in Charlotte hearing everybody sing “N***as ain’t S**t!!!”
Others in the comments pointed out the video receipts that surfaced in 2020 of her entertaining racist white men on a video chat site, laughing at their racist remarks.
“Says the girl in them chatrooms with the yt boys.”
“She wasn’t saying that in the racist chat room she was in.”
“She ain tell dem yt boys that in that chatroom.”
This isn’t the first time Doja acknowledged white people in her crowd for “Ain’t S**t.” In a 2022 video, the singer addressed the white audience and opted to modify the chorus, swapping “n***as” for “men.”
Another video showed a majority white crowd singing to her 2021 hit, featured on her “Planet Her” album, closing their lips when the “n***a” lyric appeared.
