DJ Envy and his wife of 20 years, Gia Casey, dropped a bomb about their sex life during an interview with The Shade Room to promote their new book on Monday.
Envy, 44, recalled a moment during an argument with Gia, 43, she revealed that she had been faking orgasms for ten years.
“We got into an argument and she was like ‘well, you know, I don’t be having an orgasm,’ and I was like ‘what??’ …she’s like, ‘I don’t,’ and I’m like, ‘no, yes you do, I hear it’ *makes loud sex noises* and she was like, ‘no, I’m faking it,’ I’m like, ‘every time??’ she was like, ‘…yea’ and that just crushed me because I thought I was puttin’ in work. I’m sitting there thinking I’m big daddy long leg.’”
Although the couple laughed about the embarrassing disclosure, some Black Twitter users didn’t think Envy’s lackluster sex game was a laughing matter.
Others tweeted their best impressions of Gia faking orgasms while Envy thought he was giving her the business.
Some women were appalled that Envy had the audacity to be a cheater and be a wack lover.
In 2020, Gia revealed that she discovered her husband, born RaShaaun Casey, cheated on her in 2012 as she searched online for images from a photoshoot he had participated in. On an episode of OWN Network’s Behind Every Man, she said that she saw his alleged mistress spilling the tea on a blog. His infidelities almost ended their marriage.
“I Googled his name and the pictures didn’t pop up but a blog popped up. And when I clicked on the blog I saw a conversation, and one of the girls said to the other girl, ‘Well that’s why you’re with DJ Envy and his wife sits at home clueless.’”
Gia even said she confronted Envy about the alleged tryst.
“I said, do you know who this female is?”
Envy played dumb, but his wife didn’t buy it.
“He was so infuriated that I would even suggest that he could do something like that to the woman he loved more than life itself,” she said. “Raashaun, I know that you cheated on me.”
“She was like, I know. I want you to tell me,’” Envy responded, not knowing that was the only affair she was referring to.
“‘If you’re going to be a man, tell me.’ That’s how she found out. I told on myself.”
In 2014, Love & Hip Hop alum Erica Mena reportedly aired out her and Envy’s affair with her on Twitter. She accused him of lying about having a wife.
“@djEnvy Please Gett over the fact your married and try to live a double life with me a few years ago. Your bitter & mad at me for no reason!”
Gia and Envy were high school sweethearts and wed in 2001. They have six children together. The pair are now promoting their book “Real Life, Real Love: Life Lessons on Joy, Pain & The Magic That Holds Us Together.”
A description of the book on Amazon reads, “Gia and Raashaun Casey met when they were two teenagers attending the same high school in Queens. They have been together for an astounding 27 years and married for 20. They have remained together through Raashaun’s growing celebrity, a devastating (and very public) cheating scandal, and the births of six children. Now, more than a quarter of a century into their relationship, they are stronger and more committed to each other than they’ve ever been, and their fans are clamoring to know how they did it.”
The book is now available for sale.
