Legendary hip-hop mogul Diddy reacted to Miami rapper Yung Miami’s “Go Papi” sign that she held up in support of him at the 2022 BET Awards, and Black Twitter gave their thoughts.
Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, took to Instagram to acknowledge Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee’s sign days after the award show aired on June 26.
“This is one of the sweetest things anyone [has] ever done for me! Thank you Shawty Wop! [prayer hands emoji] @yungmiami305,” he wrote on July 1.

Caresha held the bright sign as Diddy gave his acceptance speech for the BET Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented to him by rapper, producer, and entrepreneur Kanye West.
Naturally, Black Twitter gave their thoughts on the Bad Boy executive’s reaction to the kind gesture. Some users even zeroed in on the fact that he only mentioned his ex-girlfriend and children’s late mother, Kim Porter, and his other ex-girlfriend, singer, and model Cassie during his speech and not the Florida native.
“Diddy: crying and catching the holy ghost in memory of Kim Porter. Diddy: shouts out his ex, Cassie, for holding him down through the hard times. Yung Miami [image of Yung Miami with ‘Go Papi’ sign,” @OriginalFox_ tweeted.

“What Diddy was suppose to thank Caresha for? And if I’m chilling with a billionaire who’s opening doors for my career and my pockets, I’ll hold up a sign too. Go Papi,” user @ParisStrip wrote.

“I think it’s weird that folk aren’t reading Diddy and Caresha’s situationship with the proper context. They are not together in any serious capacity. She is clearly having a whole lot of fun and lowkey trolling. Why is that hard for people to understand?” said @iTerryTommy.

Instagram users even sounded off in Diddy’s comment section, saying he was “late” with his response to Yung Miami’s sign at the BET Awards.
“Not him acknowledging her two days late,” user @queenjvbaybee_8613 commented.
“We know she made you post this [several laughing emojis],” user @__beautifulshana__ wrote.
“You just now seeing she did this??! Boy bye [laughing emojis],” user @iammcharisma said.
The 52-year-old confirmed that he and the City Girl were dating in an episode of her new REVOLT talk show Caresha Please.
