Waka Flocka Flame’s mother, Deb Antney, called out rapper Gucci Mane for claiming that he killed Jeezy’s homie Pookie Loc during a home invasion in 2005.
Antney sat down for an interview on the Ugly Money Podcast where she called cap on some of the things that Gucci said about Pookie, so much so that she told Ugly Money Niche that there wasn’t much truth at all to his involvement in the murder. The two-hour interview went happened on January 10. She talked about managing Gucci Mane and being a part of an industry that values violence.
“It’s over with now. Technically, you really didn’t kill anybody, you know what I’m sayin’?” Antney began, continuing to describe the repercussions of perpetuating those untrue claims.
“Let’s stop talking about that now because all these kids think that you’re the number one killer. And let’s not talk about it no more because now you’re a dad, you got two sons,” she said. “Come into that and think about your kids looking at something. And these kids are looking at you a certain kind of way of something that’s fictitious. It was done for rap.”

Upon being met with shocked looks from the hosts and crew, she doubled down on the fact that Gucci Mane didn’t murder Pookie Loc. She repeated, “No.”
The conversation was sparked by Antney talking about Gucci Mane’s Verzuz against Jeezy in 2020. During the battle, Gucci performed his song “The Truth.” The lyrics of the song referenced Pookie Loc’s murder. “Go dig your partner up, n****, bet he can’t say s***.”
Gucci was arrested following the murder of Pookie Loc after his body was found. However, the charges and accusations against him were quickly dropped because of what law enforcement cited as a severe lack of evidence.
