Darryl Stawberry’s Granddaughter, MyLisa Reid, Found Safe

The missing granddaughter of former New York Mets star Darryl Stawberry, MyLisa Reid, has been found and is safe. The 14-year-old girl had been reported missing on on Sept. 22.

Reid’s mother, Diamond Strawberry, announced her daughter’s safe return on Instagram Sept. 23.

“MyLisa was found safe!!!! Thank you everyone for helping me find my baby!!!! I couldn’t have done it without you!!! I am forever grateful 💜💜💜😭 all the repost and attention that was brought is the reason my baby is HOME!!!”

Darryl Strawberry took to Instagram to ask for the public’s help when his granddaughter had first disappeared.

Strawberry pleaded for anyone with pertinent information to contact the police department in Henderson, Nev. In a since deleted post, the baseball champion also asked people to pray for his family. Diamond also asked her Instagram followers for help and pleaded for people to share her post in hopes of finding her daughter. Reid was last seen around 7:15 a.m. dressed in all black on the day she was reported missing..

“This is our granddaughter MyLisa who is missing right now! Please Please Pray for us as we desperately need your prayers! Thank You!”

“PLEASE REPOST!! PLEASE SHARE!!!! Please help us bring MyLisa home!”, Diamond wrote.

The circumstances around Reid’s disappearance have

not been made public and it is unclear how she was found, but her mom noted that sharing the news helped to find her daughter. Strawberry also let his followers know his grandbaby was safe on Instagram.

“So Many Prayers Answered. Thank You!!🍓🍓s,” he wrote.

Diamond also thanked her dad on the post.

“Thanks for all your help dad. Getting the word out there is what got my baby home!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!!!!”

Strawberry was a Major Baseball League player from 1983 until 1999 and a eight-time All-Star. The four-time World Series champion also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants. The champion was also inducted into the New York Mets Hall of Fame in 2010.

Diamond appeared on season five of Love & Hip-Hip: New York.
