Darius McCrary has denied that he was in a relationship with transgender model Sidney Starr despite rumors that the two were involved.

According to The Grio, Starr posted a now-deleted story on Instagram that made it to The Shade Room that claimed she and Darius were dating and have been so since February.

Then, Starr made another post with the two dressed up and posed in a somewhat close and loving stance.

The video appeared to be a photoshoot between Darius and Starr, but the caption may have led people to conclude that the dating rumor was true.

“We both are just built special!!!!! 2 hardworking celebrities in the industry!!!!!!! Eddie Winslow, we love you!!!! @dariusmccrary! We hear y’all talking !!! #transisbeautiful #familymatters”

Darius decided to address the rumors once and for all while dining with his mother from the 90s sitcom Family Matters, JoMarie Payton.

“Listen y’all, when y’all are discussing these rumors that are not true, we eating,” he said.

Darius also lets the listening audience know that he is engaged to a woman who is not Starr.

“And I think that my fiancée would really have something different to say,” McCrary contended. “That’s what y’all should really be focusing on — where that ring is,” he concluded.

After his denial, The Jasmine Brand posted a video of Darius and Starr dancing seductively and even sharing a kiss. However, because he is an actor and many models are given the chance to act these days, it is entirely possible that the video was a part of a promotion for an upcoming project.

This all came to a head when a representative for Darius released a statement that does not paint Starr in a good light.

“McCrary has kept an amicable friendship with Starr, who has been persistent with creating fake storylines and relationships with our client in a sad attempt to get back on Love & Hip Hop: New York.”

In response to the statement, Starr posted another Instagram photo and added the caption, “He’s still my friend …. Powerful @dariusmccrary #Familymatters All positivity… #transisbeautiful let’s leave it at that.”
