Damson Idris’ Los Angeles Home Got Broken In The Same Week As Beyoncé’s Mother, Tina Knowles

During the week of July 3, Damson Idris had his Los Angeles home broken into, similar to Tina Knowles, mother of Beyoncé.

The intruders broke through a glass door and stole a safe containing about $500 worth of items. Unfortunately, they also caused damage to Idris’ home, which will cost him around $2,000 to repair.

Idris reportedly lives in a $3.85 million mansion in Studio City.

Built in 1964, the five-bedroom, 4.5-bath two-story home sits well above the street on a plateau of more than a quarter-acre notched into a steep hillside and is generously described in promotional materials as a “stunning Montecito modern residence” with pale European oak floorboards, designer finishes, and a state-of-the-art home automation system that controls lighting, sound, and security systems, Dirt reported

.

The spacious home measures just over 4,700 square feet and features an open floor plan. As guests enter through the center hall, they will find formal living and dining rooms on either side. The dining room is connected to the kitchen through a large butler’s pantry, and the kitchen itself is outfitted with a stunning mix of shiny white and striking black and white marble counters, along with gold-toned fixtures on pristine white Shaker-style cabinets. In the family room, a wall of windows opens up to the backyard, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living space.

The police are currently reviewing security footage and asking neighbors for any information to help track down the suspects.

The break-in occurred just days before Knowles’ robbery, where thieves made away with over $1 million in cash and jewelry from her home. Police are investigating both cases and searching for leads.

Idris concluded his sixth and final season on FX’s “Snowfall” in April.

He played Franklin Saint, a neighborhood drug dealer who becomes a kingpin, and his performance earned him award nominations, such as the BET Awards and NAACP Image Awards over the years.

Despite the show’s critical acclaim, he has never won an Emmy for his role. Being his last season and with Emmy nominations to be announced on July 12, this could be his final chance to earn recognition for this series and role.
