D.L. Hughley claimed Pete Davidson was ‘antagonizing’ Kanye West with his new tattoo of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and the West kids’ initials.
Hughley expressed his thoughts about the ink in a recent interview with TMZ.
“You’re a tattoo aficionado and a comic. Did [Pete’s tattoo] cross the line?” asked a reporter from the outlet, who caught the comedian outside of LAX airport.
“Nobody is telling you that you can’t live your life, that’s your woman [and] you’re having a good time, but you’re putting [Kanye’s] kids on your neck? That’s antagonizing…that’s out of pocket to me,” Hughley replied.
He also said that if we’re his children’s names tattooed on another man’s body, he would be pissed off.
“Let me tell you this: I was very vocal about how I felt about the situation when I felt some things were going on. I think it’s [Pete’s] body, it’s his woman, but those are Kanye’s kids. That would piss me off. If you put my kids–and I got my kids tattooed on me–if you did that, look, they’ll always be mine. They will always be my children. To me, the father’s alive, he’s a good father, and he’s taking care of his kids, [so] I don’t know what that’s all about. It’s not of my business, but if you tattoo my kids’ names on your neck, I’d have something to say about it. All I could say is this: I think that when you do things like that, it’s troublesome.”
He added that Davidson’s alleged ink of North (8), Saint (6), Chicago (4), and Psalm’s (2) initials was “problematic.”
“If you did that to me, I would definitely have a problem with it. I think that is problematic.”
On Apr. 30, images of the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live star went viral, as a tattoo with the letters “KNSCP” was spotted on his neck. Fans speculated that the letters represented Kardashian’s first name as well as her children’s, whom she previously had with West while they were married.
Kardashian filed for divorce from the Chicago rapper and fashion designer back in February 2021 after seven years of marriage.
Since then, she has been on the scene with Davidson, and they’ve reportedly been dating.
West has publicly beefed with the New York native and even threatened to beat his a*s and nicknamed him “Skete.” The “Donda” musician also released a diss track titled “Eazy” in January, and its accompanying video, which dropped in March, depicted Davidson being kidnapped and buried.
Ironically, West was also embroiled in a public conflict with Hughley, as they went back and forth on social media following an initial jab at the 59-year-old. Fellow veteran comedian Steve Harvey even jumped in to defend his friend, warning the rapper saying, “It ain’t what you want.”
