After more than a decade with the cast, Cynthia Bailey announced her departure from the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Bailey shared the news on Monday via her personal Instagram account.
“After much thought and consideration, I have made the very difficult and heartfelt decision not to return for the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the 54-year-old wrote.
“Thank you NBC Universal, Bravo, and Truly Original for over a decade of partnership. I can’t wait to see what we do next!”

The former model joined the RHOA cast in 2010, during the third season. Bailey showed many aspects of her life, including two weddings, a divorce and several entrepreneurial projects.
“Thank you to my Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates for eleven of the most unbelievable years of my life,” Bailey’s statement continued. “And the most incredible & UNFORGETTABLE memories! I am so grateful to have had this amazing journey, and I am anxiously waiting to embark on new adventures.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta has not started filming season 14, and speculation has been flying about the cast for months. Since July, Bailey’s departure has been rumored when LoveBScott reported she was “more than likely not returning.”
A few weeks before the report, Bailey was a guest on the Wendy Williams show. During the interview, Williams suggested she part ways with RHOA.
“It should be you,” Williams said plainly. “Let me tell you why because there’s nothing more exciting that you can give to us. I don’t want to see you fight. I don’t want to see you get divorced, like, I think it’s time.”
Bailey admitted “nobody wants to be fired” and told Williams she was leaving the decision to a higher power.
“God’s will, not my will, be done,” she said. “I’ve had an amazing run. It’s been 11 amazing years as a consistent peach holder.”
Bravo isn’t done with 50 Cynt yet! Bailey will be starring in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, a crossover reality show featuring castmates from several Housewives franchises.
