In one clip, Noreaga introduced LaBelle by excitedly screaming her name. It then cuts to her telling a joke.
“So, I said, ‘What I gotta do — smoke reefers,'” garnering laughter from the show hosts Nore and DJ EFN.
She then surprises the rapper by referencing his 1998 song “Superthug,” causing the room to erupt in cheers and pop champagne bottles. She is then heard talking about her relationship with the late and great Aretha Franklin and how Luther Vandross “got put on” by selling her clothes, which she said he used to steal. Nore then asked her what she thought about Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s hit “WAP.”
“I heard it,” she responded. “I said, ‘Go, girls.”
It’s unclear what she was talking about, but she then compared something to be as big as her getting asked to appear on Drink Champs, shocking Nore and DJ EFN. Shen then raised a toast, saying, “Let’s drink to that.”
Towards the end of the clip, she indicated that some of the things she said should’ve probably remained silent but then proudly stated, “I don’t care. I said it, and I feel good about being here.”
The show shared another clip exposing what she said, leading up to the reefer comment.

“Last Monday or I think it was Sunday, my son said…Zuri, my son, ‘Ma, they want you to do that show,'” she recalled. So, I said, ‘What show?’ He said, ‘Drink Champs?’ I said, ‘Who me?’ ‘Cuz I know all about you guys. No. And so I said, ‘What I gotta do, smoke reefers?’ I don’t smoke reefers. I don’t smoke cigarettes, I said, ‘But I don’t want them to stop doing what they do. I don’t do shots. I don’t do nothing.’ But I said, ‘I’m honored.’ And then you had a red carpet for me when I got out of your beautiful car.”
LaBell’s episode comes on Revolt TV Thursday, Black Effect on Friday, and YouTube on Saturday.
