City Girls JT Throws Phone At Boyfriend Lil Uzi Vert And Calls Him A ‘B***h A** N***a’ At The BET Awards

Things got heated behind the scenes at the BET Awards Sunday night between City Girls JT (real name Jatavia Shakara Johnson) and her man rapper Lil Uzi Vert, and it reportedly involved fellow rapper Ice Spice.

Videographer Frank Vasque filmed one angle of the heated exchange, capturing JT hurling her phone at Lil Uzi Vert (né Symere Bysil Woods), calling him a “groupie” and a “b***h.”

Lil Uzi Vert exclaimed, “I didn’t do nothing, though.” But the City Girl didn’t have it.

“Give me my f**king phone, b***h!” JT demanded.

Front and center when the ordeal happened, award show attendee and influencer under the Instagram name 3everChantel filmed

the altercation between JT and Lil Uzi Vert and posted it on her Instagram story.

In one video, where JT continued to yell at Lil Uzi Vert, Chantel wrote that the rapper got angry at her boyfriend “for talking to Ice Spice.”

Subsequently, Chantel captured the couple talking it out while they were presenting the “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” award, which Latto won.

“He fighting hard to get her back,” the text read over Chantel’s Instagram story video.

JT and Lil Uzi Vert paid no mind to former Migos members Quavo and Offset’s reunion performance, honoring the late Takeoff, as they continued their argument.

“They been arguing for like 20 min,” the caption read.

Another video displayed Ice Spice smiling while talking with JT. Things ostensibly mellowed, and JT seemed happy while talking with her man.

Ice Spice posted several photos from her night at the BET Awards on Instagram, including her and the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper, which JT liked.

The couple left the award show together, seemingly all good.

A TMZ source claimed Ice Spice didn’t cause the argument and that JT got mad over losing her seat. Chantel confirmed the source’s claims in a Twitter thread, tweeting audience members switched seats, and JT sat on the right side of the front row while Lil Uzi Vert sat on the left side of the front row…next to Ice Spice. That’s when the two conversed and took a photo together.

“But next thing I know, JT pops up and throws her phone at him, cursing him out, calling him a b***h a** n***a and s**t. Then she made this n***a grab her phone, and he chased after her. I love it, lol,” Chantel wrote.

Chantel said JT stormed off with her boyfriend following and pleading for her to come back. When they did return, Lil Uzi Vert sat in between Ice Spice and JT.
