After a long and emotional road, Chrissy Teigen announced Thursday on Instagram that she and John Legend are expecting an additional member to the family by revealing her baby bump.

“The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” the fashion model wrote. “1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment, I’ve said to myself, ‘Ok, if it’s healthy today, I’ll announce,’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves, but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful, and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok, phew, it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

The mother of 6-year-old Luna and 4-year-old Miles announced in February that she was going for another attempt at the In vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment following the tragic loss of her son Jack during her 20-week pregnancy.

She educated people in the Instagram post, telling them to avoid asking her or any other woman if they’re pregnant because IVF caused bloating. She implied that the question is emotionally challenging for women trying to have a baby.

“I said this in the comments and got yelled at because the internet is wild, but I’d rather be the one to tell you and not some poor woman who will look you in the eyes through tears, and that’s how you finally learn,” she wrote.

The pregnant “Cravings” author shared with People how she conceived Jack naturally but did IVF treatments for her first two children. Before her daughter, Teigen suffered a miscarriage.

Though Legend hasn’t said anything about their new baby, he did post a screenshot of Teigen’s recent photos of her baby bump.
