A controversial video of Chrisean Rock has surfaced on social media showing her smoking what looked to be a blunt while pregnant. The clip shows Rock riding shotgun with the window down, holding the blunt to her lips. Rapper Blueface was also present in the car, and the pair played music loudly.
The video’s angle leaves a little room for doubt, not precisely showing Rock inhaling and exhaling smoke, but it’s ambiguous enough to spark debate in the comments of the Instagram video. Most commenters expressed concern about her smoking while pregnant; others tried to assuage the concerns and said that smoking weed doesn’t affect the baby during pregnancy.
“So yall really know people who smoke weed while pregnant, and yall never said anything to them???? That is sad and insane….” One user wrote. Another commenter responded under the Instagram video, “I know so many women who has smoked during their pregnancy with their doctors aware. Baby just fine…She’s not the first person to smoke while being pregnant doesn’t make it right, but she’s not the first please humble y’all selves fr,”
“And???? I smoked through my whole pregnancy due to it being high-risk and me being sick all the time. It gave me my appetite to eat and keep my twins healthy. most of y’all mommas smoked crack, but here y’all are….”

Despite the varying opinions in the video’s comment section, the Center for Disease Control reported that there are verifiable risks that come from smoking during pregnancy. The CDC wrote, “Smoking during pregnancy can cause tissue damage in the unborn baby, particularly in the lung and brain, and some studies suggests a link between maternal smoking and cleft lip.”
