Chris Brown shut down former Cheetah Girls member Kiely Williams after she reacted to his latest collab with Chlöe Bailey by joining the internet’s “woman-beater” pitchfork mob.
On Feb. 16, Bailey tweeted her surprise announcement about featuring Brown on her soon-to-be-released single “How Does It Feel.” Many critics expressed their disapproval of the feature in the comments and through quote tweets. Williams was among the quote tweeters.
“Let him come out with his own record—so genius, so captivating that it makes us all forget HE BEATS WOMEN,” Williams’ tweet read. “He can’t so he won’t. So what does he do? He slowly creeps back into the mainstream by getting small nods for features on Black Women’s merit. Black women who are more talented, more worthy, but give him the okay. I am swatting the f**king air rn. Garbage.”

Williams was referring to when the “Under the Influence” singer abused his former girlfriend and singer Rihanna in February 2009. At the time, Brown was 19 years old, and Rihanna was about 20 years old.
Brown took to his Instagram story to defend himself, speaking nothing but facts.
“If y’all still hate me for a mistake I made as a 17-year-old (he was 19), please kiss my whole entire a**,” he wrote. “I’m f**king 33! I’m so tired of y’all running [with] this narrative…you weird a** n***as are the same ones that tune in every week to see Blueface and Chrisean beat the f**k out each other in front of the world. But that’s ok? It’s entertainment? All y’all can suck my d**k disrespectfully.”
He continued, “Where are the cancel culture with these white artists that date underage women, beat the f**k out their wives, giving b***hes aids…Oh. That’s right…they are your buddies. No more fake love from me…stay out my way or get ran over, simple as that! None of you and I mean none of you n***as can f**k [with] me.”
Brown then enhanced his argument with receipts, posting photos of guilty, grown a**, white celebrities who abused their significant others and didn’t catch as much heat as Brown.
Some celebrities mentioned were Nicholas Cage, Ozzy Osbourne, Sean Penn, Mel Gibson, Tommy Lee, Slash, Charlie Sheen, and Emma Roberts.
After the numerous photos of abusive celebrities, he included a blank slide with the words “I got time.”
The former 3LW member would’ve received a pass if a January 2023 tweet of her finding Blueface and Chrisean’s toxic and abusive relationship entertaining didn’t surface. And, yet, she dared to publicly slam the “With You” singer for something he did as a teenager while two grownups beat each other up for clicks and views, influencing the younger generation.
Brown ate the actress up by posting a video on his Instagram story of when the two were both on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, where Williams had a fan girl moment after meeting Brown, who played himself.

Brown turned into the ultimate troll when he spammed her comment section under an Instagram video of her dancing to “Talkin” by BluPrint, an all-female R&B group she’s in.
The “Wet the Bed” artist typed eight tomato emojis in one comment and compared her to a train in another, writing “Miss Amtrak.”
He added, “Choo Choo” in a separate comment and called the dance “Wack as f**k.”

In response to Brown slamming her, Williams tweeted a gif of herself, writing, “I got this man TYPING today Chile.”

She also quoted a user who tweeted, “A cheetah girl really made Chris Brown pressed.” Williams responded, “And not even one of the famous ones.”

No one’s excusing what Brown did to Rihanna back then. However, as Brown said, other celebrities have done the same (some have done worst), yet don’t get the same hate as Brown. Additionally, Rihanna forgave her ex-boyfriend and moved on. So should other people.
