R&B singer Chanté Moore and former BET executive Stephen Hill recently tied the knot in an intimate beachfront wedding.
Stephen shared the news via a heartfelt Instagram post on Oct. 23.
“I was supposed to post yesterday…at the same time as this beauty right here. And then I saw…this natural beauty right HERE,” he wrote beneath a beautiful photo of Chanté wearing her wedding gown. “My Baby. The Light. The Space. The Energy. The Love. So instead of posting, I took pictures of HER posting…and then got lost in one of the most magnificent nights of life sculpted of many magnificent nights. [I] chose not to post about it; just be about it. And to be about my wife, @iamchantemoore. And to make sure that the day was her best ever. We are married, and we were surrounded (literally) by love, friends and family while it happened. More later. Not now. Still being about it.”
His now-wife uploaded a post on her own page, saying, “Welcome to always… @stephengranthill.” The wedding was her third–and Stephen’s first–as she was previously married to veteran actor Kadeem Hardison and then R&B singer Kenny Lattimore.
The couple initially announced their engagement on Stephen’s 60th birthday in October 2021. They had reportedly been friends for 30 years.
Former 106 & Park host Free, who attended their beachfront nuptials, congratulated the newlyweds and shared details about the ceremony.
“Witnessing a wedding is so much more than the flowers and your dress and dinner and a seating chart,” she said via an IG post. “When you are invited to a wedding and show up …You vow (in my eyes anyway) to stand with this couple thru good and odd times, to be there for them, support them, encourage them and love them actively.”
106 & Park‘s other former female hosts, Julissa Bermudez, Rocsi Diaz, and Keisha Chanté, also attended, as Free shared a clip of them doing the “Blick Challenge” at the reception.
Keisha commented under Stephen’s post, calling the beachfront wedding “the best production” he’s “ever produced.”
“The best production you have ever produced. I laughed, I cried, [and] I was inspired. A celebration of pure love. I love you both so much! & I am here for you two always,” she wrote about him and the veteran singer. “Congratulations on forever. [teary-eyed, heart hands, and white heart emojis].”
