Cardi B Tweets About ‘White Twinks’ Who Criticize Her On Twitter

While gearing up to promote “Wild Side,” her newly-debuted song with singer Normani, Cardi B decided to address those on Twitter who criticize the female rap artist, and also seemingly called out non-Black people who’ve used digital blackface online. Known for being outspoken and sometimes controversial, the “Press” rapper sparked online conversation after writing Wednesday, “White twinks on this app are weird. You don’t dictate people’s action.”

Cardi B stated in a second tweet less than an hour later, “I said what I said and I’m not taking it back!!! Ya love to hide behind black female artist pictures on your avi and be the ones saying the most disrespectful shit about women & dictating their moves and start wars between female artist fans ALWAYS!”

And while some criticized the entertainer for her online words, others added their own two cents to what Cardi B had to say.

One user wrote under her tweet, “They never treat Britney, Gaga, and the other white pop girls like they do the Black ones. Sitting up on here using all the AAVE, posting Tiffany Pollard gifs for every reaction, and starting mess DAILY.”

Another person defended Cardi B’s tweet, writing, “Ok but you’re right and you should say that. And let’s not even get into the digital Blackface going on on the internets.”

Cardi B later retweeted a supporter who wrote online about the downside of stan culture, saying, “Cardi is so right. There’s so many stans in the community that say very racist things about black female artist and think it’s okay because they “stan” a black woman. It’s sick.”
