Rapper Cardi B has pled not guilty to assault and could face up to four years in prison. The assault charges stem from a 2018 brawl in a Queens strip club. The rapper pled not guilty on Oct. 19.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper was charged with reckless endangerment and assault for her part in the melee. Cardi B is accused of throwing a bottle and an ice bucket at two bartenders working at the strip club, Rachel Wattley and Sarah Wattley. She is also accused of ordering her entourage to jump the two women.
According to TMZ, the “WAP” rapper believed that one of the bartenders had slept with her husband, Offset, and had been threatening one of the bartenders for months. The bartenders said that they were told earlier in the day that Cardi B’s friends would attack them that evening at the Angels Strip Club in Queens.
The ladies claimed that five associates of the rapper’s attacked the women and beat them with fists, a hookah, bottles, chairs and an ashtray.
“Cardi — who was at the Strip Club because Migos was performing — came face-to-face with the 2 bartenders and allegedly told her posse to attack them with bottles, chairs and a hookah smoking device. The 2 women were both hurt, but refused medical attention.”
Twitter trolls tried it with Cardi B and made light of her possible prison sentence, but the rapper clapped back and let the troll know she wasn’t pressed.
“Before I go to prison you gone see me breakin more records and making more Ms,” she wrote.

Cardi B gave birth to her second child, a son, with her husband, rapper Offset, on Sept. 4. The couple also shares a 3-year-old daughter, Kulture.
Cardi B was reportedly offered a plea deal for third-degree assault but rejected the deal. If the case goes to trial and the rapper is found guilty, she could spend up to four years in prison. Another hearing is set for Oct. 25.
