Candace Owens Gives Cop Fired For Donating To Kyle Rittenhouse $245,000

Candace Owens presented a check for $202,000 to a police officer who was fired for donating money to admitted killer Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense fund. Owens gave Kelly the check on Nov. 22.
Owens told Kelly that he’d gotten more donations since writing the check and would get at least $245,000 total. Sgt. William Kelly was fired on Sept. 3, 2020, after donating $25 from his work email.
Kelly’s name was leaked in an expose by the Guardian with several other law enforcement officials who’d donated to Rittenhouse’s defense fund. Sgt William Kelly worked in internal affairs in Norfolk, Va. Owens encouraged Kelly to sue the city.
“But I do hope you sue the city.”
Owens began the fundraiser on Nov. 20 for the fired police officer.
“Today I started a fundraiser for Lt. Bill Kelly—17 year police veteran who was fired in April after the despicable. @guardianrevealed that he anonymously donated to Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense. Please share and support!”
One Twitter user called Owens out for her strong defense of Kelly. In contrast, others questioned her trial coverage of the killers of Ahmaud Arbery or made fun of her reaction to the guilty verdict for the three murderers. Owens consistently defended
racist acts against Black people and was excited to give the check to Kelly.
“Still on and on about this Rittenhouse kid,” said one. “… he got away scot-free free and he’s all set now, no? Why don’t you talk about the Arbery lynching??? Seems like you should have something to say about that one??”
Another noted that Owens was quick to defend the murderers of Ahmaud Arbery when even an all-white jury convicted the three killers in Georgia.
“CandaceOwens immediately justified the killing of #AhmaudArbery then a virtually all-white jury in the state of Georgia found his killers guilty of felony murder. You realize how much you have to hate your own blackness to have less respect for it than an all-white GA jury?”
Other Twitter users made fun of Owens and joked about her probable reaction to the news the murderers were convicted of Arbery’s murder.
