Brandi Maxiell Reveals Husband Wanted To ‘Slap’ Iyanla Vanzant On Set Of ‘Fix My Life’

Basketball Wives star Brandi Maxiell recently shared that her husband, Jason Maxiell, wanted to “slap” Iyanla Vanzant while filming for the hit OWN series Iyanla: Fix My Life.

In an interview with DeDe’s Dope Podcast, Brandi revealed that Jason was highly upset with the motivational speaker when she confronted him on the set of Iyanla: Fix My Life

in 2018. In true Iyanla fashion, she bluntly tried to get him to acknowledge the pain he put his wife through after admitting to cheating on her with 50 women. As such, the former NBA player wanted to “slap” her for being “aggressive,” Brandi said.

“When that happened, it was like Jason was so mad at that lady,” she recalled Jason saying. “He was like, ‘I wanted to slap the s**t out of her,’ because it was so aggressive. It was so much.”

She emphasized how angry he was, reiterating that he was “mad” at Iyanla.

“He was so mad at her,” she added.

Brandi continued, acknowledging that Jason had slept with a total of 341 women in his life, including the 50 women he claimed to have cheated on her with.

“First of all, I thought it was weird,” she said about her husband’s 50 affairs. “How the f**k you know the number? It happened. He said it.”

However, she maintained that he was a “good guy” despite his cheating and that they worked hard to stay together. She also credited therapy for keeping their marriage intact, as the couple wed in 2010 after years of being high school sweethearts.

“It was just perception, the edit of how it was and everything. I mean to know my husband, he’s a good guy,” Brandi said. “Yeah, he f****d up, and yeah, I made him pay for it, but at the same time, we worked so hard at that…I was humiliated, I’m not gonna lie. And one thing that I did learn from [Iyanla] is that she was like, ‘It’s something deeper…[Jason] needs to know his father; he needs counseling. It was drinking… and then too, it was retirement. He didn’t know how to handle that.”

Ok, girl.
